Not sure where to start, not good at writing... I did my first gas holder in 2013 outside my fair city, in 2014 i did 4 in London, in 2015 i managed to tick off 20 in London alone including a few others scattered around the country.

Im not sure how or why but it became a brief obsession for myself, adders and monkey. Massive props to those guys as i did nearly all of them with them, i won't mention any others i did gas with but you know who you are, also massive props to Gaj and Keitei for paving the way in regards to seeing anything from our lot on 28, also to Gaj with helping, although i have to admit the only one we actually used his access for was Oval, all the others we found our own way in mainly because things had either changed, we found an easier way and more often than not i misplaced the intel

If you want an in depth history of the gas holder and a exploring retrospective look at keitei's report, or google has some words too.

Theres 20 in total here so i can't go into too much detail or stories about each one, but some stuff that happened includes, palisade, blood, shorts, cans, laughs and far too many holes in the ground where gas holders once lived. I even had Maniac and Frosty deliver my camera charger and hide it under a traffic cone outside a gas holder once while i was sat on the top sipping a ciggi and tooting on a kronie.

hopefully someone will love them again like we did before they're all gone, ladders or no ladders we will climb you.... fuck TFL

Impressive stuff!

Are they still mad keen on cutting them down?

Yeah, leeside road and Battersea are both nearly gone as it is, if you think how much the land is worth in some of the places it does seem crazy to not get rid, a few of them might be listed though, beckton and cambridge heath possibly.

Motspur is the best gas :D

Nice one man, been looking forward to that.
I know west ham/bow is listed, and they're planning on making it a public park which will be pretty cool.

Good stuff Gabe, really nicely shot & well done hitting the smaller ones too as they're often interesting sites in their own right. Will be interesting to see which ones disappear now as I know quite a few went pretty quickly & the demo team seem to work in areas at a time from chatting to them at Bath. Are the Saltley ones still there as they were talking about them coming down in 2015? If they do drop, go hit the best column guided gas holders in the country a couple of miles away, I'll even provide a map to avoid the 2,500 cameras on site if you ask nicely :D

Southgate may also be listed as I can't think of any other reason such a bramble infested, rusting shitheap would still be standing as it was horrific back when I climbed it when I first moved to London. North Thames will also be on the list as it's reportedly the oldest one in the UK but the magic key from Southall may need to make another appearance for that one unless you sit watching for someone to go in then take the opportunity.

Anyway, good effort dude & nice to see these photographed well :thumb
