I came across this while doing something else, (currently work in progress).
Parts of the site are in a bad way because of gradual deterioration rather than chavs or pikies, (which there's no evidence of)
seems nobody has been in here for a while, the last date on the paper work was 2012
there's tons of paper work a lot which is decomposing & rotten.
The paper work contains sensitive information inc names, bank details & invoices.
There was a nice draft of the proposed Holbeck urban project, which inc the viaduct.
The original factory building opened in 1800's as a foundry, while the new extension opened in 1964.
Became a fashion specialists in the 1980's, Hooper & berks in the 1990's and closed in 2008
but continued to be used as a management archives for storing paper work until 2012.
The poor condition of the original factory building in comparison with the new extension, (which contains the remaining equipment)
gives the impression this closed many years earlier & they used the new extension until 2012.
There's a network of steam tunnels beneath the original factory building inc circuit kiosks, tanks & a boiler.
The saw tooth roof consists of slate, while the walls consist of brick
there's a live foundry at the west & the empty temple works at the east
the factory building is not grade listed, but joins the grade listed temple works.
street level
equipment
paper work
hoist
conveyor
safe
beneath
steam tunnels
rotten paper work
circuit kiosks
boiler
tanks
extra rotten paper work
& finally the crapper
thanks
