The last culvert along the Gore - Chorlton brook before it reaches the Mersey,
the culvert consists of 2 Parallel brick arches about 1 / 2 mile long.
United Utilities are doing some work at the infall, while the outfall remains partially submerged,
the culvert is a cess pit, the left arch is full of sludge while the right arch is full of stagnant black water with trip hazards.
infall
right arch
pipe
access (no ladders)
stagnant black water
left arch
sludge
partially submerged outfall
united utilities are improving the flood defences
they've built a dam & diverted the water through a pipe
which discharges at the mouth of the right arch
thank's for viewing,
