Now before i get into the explore, I was going to take proper photos but guess who forgot their tripod
Now lets get into the actual explore.
36DD
I dropped down into the river next to an estate down a steep bank luckily not falling over.
How inviting!
Looking back a few meters in.
Not far forward it turns and gets abit deep, luckily you can stay to the side and walk along a concrete sidewalk, just a stride through knee deep water until it eventually shallows out and this is where you get the first taste of the uneven river bed...
Getting closer to the inlet, my ankles ready..
This is where i came out.
Trodding on forward you come to the main explore, this is the outfall here. Big!!
Moving forward it goes from concrete to brick arch! Horrible river bed to walk on here though..
Then back to concrete now with cable hangers.
In this section came across an outfall and to my surprise there was a waterfall.
Yes i climbed up it, venturing further up you just end up at another water fall which is stacked stone and way too high to climb.
Enough faffing about, back to business, then came across this very short open section!
Were actually under the road here, just up that ladder you end up outside one of shops and there were people..
Carrying on forward there wasnt much to see for a while, and yes, were still walking on river bed.
A cable bridge, awesome! The floor was concrete again so was nice to rest my ankles and stride along.
This flipping jacket is still here...
A weir, glad you can dodge these! The floor isnt too bad here.
Another weir and we now have concrete parabolic section. This was the worst part river bed wise.
Cables and cables. Aching and aching.
I dont remember seeing this in any other report...
Looking up you see daylight, we really arent that far underground.
Mmmm, pongy sewer.. off it goes to the works.
Yet another entrance. Abit further underground here.
Were now back to the standard concrete tunnel, a few deep pools here, almost got stuck at one point but luckily the floor was just large flat slabs of rock that made an almost completely flat river bed.
Another weir, almost filled a wader here..
Up a slope to a split, lets go up the right side! Back to concrete floor, phew..
Another weir, no plunge pool however its solid concrete floor.
Stepping over the weir it got rather deep, i thought my wader was gonna breach at one point, only just!!
Water flowing from right side to the left side (I did walk back through the left side but took no pictures)
Finally, this section, i stopped here and turned back, i don't want to be caught thanks... there was scaffolding in the Culvert on the left side and yet another pair of ladders poking through a hole ..
Thanks for looking everyone Sorry again for the shite pictures... Will remember my tripod next time!
