Report - Able Uk, Middlesbrough, June 2014

notice this while photographing the transporter bridge, scraping the barrel abit here as alot of the site is dire
the fabrication halls with gantry cranes are impressive.

Able Uk are a decomissioning firm,
dealing with all types off offshore structures inc vessels and rigs.
They aquired the former Davy offshore yard in 2000,
which became empty in April 2013 the site is currently on the market.
The rusting Tuxedo Royale is been kept at the west of the Yard,
its condition is deteriorating.

Had a look in here too, the other day. Was pretty bared, but the machines were cool.

yeah, they let alot of light thro which made photographing alot easier

I was there shooting a couple days ago. It is still accessible.
