Report - Anglian Water Pumping Station, Drayton Parslow, Buckinghamshire - June 2023

Some things are just right on your doorstep! This one has been abandoned since around 2009 just 7 or 8 miles from me! I had no idea! It is in a village called Drayton Parslow in Buckinghamshire and seems to date; probably from the 70s. There is a burnt out car next to it which has damaged one side of the roof and allowed the decay in. I'm not sure what it was used for 100% but it is a Water Pumping Station for something!

Unassuming building hiding a gem, good spot. I wonder how many of these we walk/drive past. Nice images.

Nice shots mate, it is very well hidden and quite an unsuspecting building but was happy to see all equipment intact inside. I believe it was a booster station serving Drayton Parslow which ensured water pressure and supply were kept adequate, it was owned and operated by Anglian Water and is now privately owned with the owners hoping to get planning permission for a house on site.
