Some info on the closing of the office.

From the history it appears that this building was sold off.
We believe this closed around the 2002/2003 mark. On entry we were greeted with an old printer and documents.
The place was pretty damp in places with an aroma of wet floors and carpets which hung in the air.
It was pretty windy on one side of the building too which gave it a more menacing sound.
We skulked to the ground floor, which was well boarded up. Being pitch dark we needed torches and the like.
This floor had plenty of office type rooms. There wasn’t much in the way of chav destruction, which was a pleasant surprise.
Well, the odd thing, unless the staff had issues

During our explore we found a few things of interest. Business cards from various port managers, docs and a paper dating 2003.
Several maps were found in a lovely pile of paper in one office.
Scottys torch head fell off
Moving forward we found a document store type area with several PC’s and a server. All Pentium spec.

We found the toilets and what was clearly a section for drivers and delivery staff only. This was cordoned off from the rest of the building. Someone was kind enough to create a large hole in the wall for us to climb through and check it out.
We found a lovely toilet.
Scary coat hook in the dark!
Upstairs we found some plans on what seemed like A1 paper. Other plans were either neatly held in a container or rolled and kept in tubes.
Rock/stone Samples
Top floor showed some cracks in the building, which were being monitored using a rule type device.
We found a fantastic typewriter. Very heavy!! They don’t build them like this anymore!

James PP was busy putting his photographic skills to work! It was fully light now and the top floors had no boards on the windows.
