Something i visited a few years ago that slipped through the net. A fairly local site to where i grew up and a strange mix of old buildings including a former silk mill, 1800s town house, Victorian iron works and a few more modern additions to boot. The company are famous for making the machines used to re sharpen lawn mower blades and supplied alot of famous football clubs and cricket grounds with machines to maintain their equipment. However after being bought out the original works eventually close in 2012 and they moved into a modern industrial premises in the same town. This works was due to be redeveloped but im currently not quite sure how far they have got.
I found the place pretty interesting. Quite an interesting mix of buildings and lots of old stuff about. Lots had been rounded up onto pallets to be moved and i didn't feel too comfortable rummaging through it but did spot a pile of cracking old show cards that had been used the back working drawings for the workshop.. Thought i should post a few photos for the record.
