The Hawkhurst Branch Line connected Hawkhurst to Cranbrook, Goudhurst and Horsmonden with Paddock Wood. Badgers Oak Tunnel is between Hawkhurst and Cranbrook and ranges for about 186 yards. The line was only in use for about 60 years before shutting. The tunnel was constructed by contractor J T Firbank whom was also responsible for the Horsmonden tunnel.

This was a fun little explore. Perfect for a dog walk! This was quite a spontaneous explore so didn't have my decent camera with me. These are afew with an Iphone.

You can just about make out the single track line in the soil though there seems to be no sign of the original track itself.
