I was on my way to see a lady about some ornaments I was collecting when I was at the bus stop over the road waiting to change buses to get over to hers. Fortunately she was real diamond and didn't mind me going later than planed.

I have drank in this pub before but I don't usually go down that neck of the woods so wasn't aware it was lay in it's own decay.

The inside was ruined partly by vandals and some from the obvious signs of people growing in there. When I got home researched shows it was raided as a result.

I was gutted to have only my iPhone at the time but access was very public and it was a quick explore.

Here's the photos of what I could take. Shame I didn't have my usual setup but let's face it I wasn't expecting to find this gem closed!

I was actually thinking of having a pint once I got of the bus waiting for the next. Funny how it turned out. Enjoy!

Couldn't say but the place is a right state better to pull it down and start from a new build property. Absolute wreck after idiots grew weed in there and trashed the place.

Be curious to see if a restaurant opens up there.

In 2019 it was meant to becoming a bar and grill - not sure if that will happen and I can't find any planning applications for it, but have found the sale details at https://www.siddalljones.com/uploads/PDF/Bagot Arms_86f0e91c-bf6a-4a9f-90cb-e32c7a45cdf5.pdf

Cheers must of missed that on my brief google search the only other thing I found was:

Calamity Jane

i see beauty in the unloved, places & things

The externals are good, looks like it was once a manor house or similar. Some history wouldnt go a miss here. As I like a rounded report. Imo too many photos & not enough history.

Im not dissing your explore, just would like to see the layers of history this place must of had. And only a few images are needed to showcase a building really.

i saw the article on the cannabis raid and as you mentioned it in your text I didn't add it. Whilst I haven't found planning applications for the pub I have found this from 2014/ 2015 but don't know if it went ahead https://eplanning.birmingham.gov.uk...mingham/xslt/PL/PLDetails.xslt&DAURI=PLANNING

I started looking at the history but someone offered me a chance to see a private miniature railway - so history can wait - This is a detached Stonegate pub, with patio areas. It is a 20/30s pub, built during the large development of the area at that time. It is a mock-c17th, two-storey brick, winged-corridor styled build, with a hipped roof, dormers, tall stacks and a decorative cornice. The interior has at least a couple of function rooms and the pub was known for it's live music
