Visited with Tom Sherman, Marsden1002 and Stopford_lad, then alone on my bike, the day after. Only had a quick mooch into Humpty, as, we are in Clayton, I wanted to keep an eye on my bike at the entrance.
The River Medlock is a river in Greater Manchester in North West England. It rises near Oldham and flows south and west for ten miles to join the River Irwell in the extreme southwest of Manchester city centre. Big Humpty, built early 1900's, is situated where Clayton Vale ends, and Phillips Park begins. If construction pictures are anything to go by, it's around six bricks thick and, as has been said before by Camera Shy, looks like the inside of a snakes belly.

At the rear of the Etihad, also of brick construction, with a stone footpath (don't ride a bike in there, bumpy as fuck), is this. Bit of a mix of day and night here.

A little further up was this sort of waterfall, from the above canal.
Then the path ended and it didn't look that inviting on a cold March evening, time to sod off.
