Report - Billingshurst ROC post

This post was a 1968 shut down. The hatch is very heavy but can be opened, internally the post is flooded, so I didn't go down.
The compound is heavily overgrown and I couldn't find the ventilation shaft, as its been destroyed to the base and hidden under all the vegetation.
The FSM pipe is still in place.

I'm already planning to return with boots and waders! There's other stuff in the area to justify the drive back

Whilst you're back down there get yourself over to what's left of Shipley roc, Staplefield Zero Station (although it'll take you an afternoon to find it) and there's a mine just down in Marehill. All worth a visit.
