Unique drain in Stoke, which I assume gets it's name from the large amounbt of iron stone residue on the bottom of the stream's bed. The whole drain has been constructed from galvanised iron pipe, which in some places is not standing the test of time and is severly decaying! A few interesting features, but it kind of 'just stopped', and is the first drain I have done without coming out of the other end!
When we reached the mouth again the water which had been crystal clear was a bright and vivid orange colour! We sat above the pipe for a while watching the water slowly clear.
