Bondi beach Nightclub - Castleford - March 2019
Originally the Albion Picture Palace which opened in January 1927 and became part of the Associated British Cinemas (ABC) circuit in June 1932. It was an early disposal, going to Star Cinemas chain in 1957 who were responsible for tripling the cinema becoming Studios 1-3, with screen 1 in the former circle with 350 seats, and screens 2 and 3 in the former stalls with 110 and 100 seats.
It was taken over by the Cannon Cinemas chain and renamed Cannon, but closed in April 1987.
In 2003 it was converted into a nightclub (Bondi beach bar) finally closing it’s doors in 2013.
From the top floor.
From the dance floor.
Bar’s
Stairs.
And finally the entrance hall.
As per one of my last threads, yet again I forgot to take any external photos, as such this is duly stolen from the interwebs.
Thank you for reading.
