Thanks to Georgie and Kevsy21 for bringing this to my attention

Carrying Knowsley Brook on its journey to it confluence with the River Alt in one form or another, the culvert runs almost a mile in length. We didn't do it all, but that will be explained later.

We dropped in by Randles Bridge, by sheer coincidence

Nature was in your face from the start

This culvert is very similar in construction to Prenton Brook Culvert

For about half a kilometer, it runs straight through Austin Park - the former distribution facility and head office of retailer Ethel Austin.

I'd read Georgie's report and with him talking about secca, we kept an eye out and spotted this

The slog against the flow was kinda boring in all honesty, but I got to play with my Chinon 55mm f1.7, a seriously nice piece of kit.

After a while the culvert becomes a culvert proper, and becomes RCB

With a couple pf grilled air shafts

Before becoming RCP.

The reason the photo is so fucking fizzy is because there was a foul mist in the air, despite the RCP starting at the air shaft. We decided discretion is the better part of valour and promptly fucked off :D

A couple more before I go
