In April we went on a ferry trip to the European mainland as part of George's stag do. The aim was to drive fast cars to / at the Nurburgring and see a couple of nice buildings on the way.
This is one of them. A pretty, ancient compressor / power house associated with one of Europe's largest open cast stone quarries. Presumably in the past it helped with the de-watering of the works, however, now it lies slap bang in the middle of the quarry land, disused. One of those where its very placement in the middle of a busy quarry has protected it from passing pikelets and thieves.
