Cant find any reports of this one so hopefully this is a first.
History
Cant find much history on this one. It was first opened around the 1960's. It seems to have retained its original structure until it closed early 2016. With no signs of extensions or extra buildings on site. The site incorporates a small gym area as well as the pool. The site was closed early 2016 with plans to redevelop the site for a new leisure center. However a more suitable site was found for the new development, leaving this building standing empty. I don't think its a listed building, so there's nothing keeping it there if someone was to come along with enough cash to do something with it. It is still in very good nick and could be re-opened tomorrow with little work needed.
Our Explore
Explored with @Sheffieldexplorer & @starbarwillow. A steady weekend wander round a surprisingly well kept site. Fortunately it appears to have been relatively left alone in the year it has been derelict. There is no graffiti anywhere, and only slight damage/vandalism. There is a lot left in this place, a fully stocked kitchen, loads of paperwork/office stuff, gym equipment. Spent a good few hours in here and still missed loads, so my pics don't really show it all. Definitely worthy of a re-visit when time permits. We started off in the basement which seems to run around the perimeter of the pool itself. Before making our way up into the main parts of the building.
Cheers
