Report - Chelmsford City Center Tower Crane, May 2014

On the way home from a weekend away I thought I would pop in to old chelmo and see if I could find a decent climb. As it happened I stumbled upon the shortest crane in history.
Behind the wheatsheaf pub there is a hotel being built. The crane was a maximum of 80 Ft so far from epic but always worth a climb.

Looking right into the police station.

I got there first. x

I prefer cranes to roofs because I can see who is around me.

I had a stab at the red ones in the background. All in all I visited the site 11 times and without fail the cranes were locked and barriered off. I took various measures all legal ones and still there was no safe way to do them that wouldnt have ended up with being caught. I mooched the buildings and basements, shot a shed load of video there but nowt worth posting.

I believe some one has just been nicked for climbing this crane , so I am told by some one in the know!

Nothing will come of it. They will be hassled for a few hours and have a talking to. PMSL. x
