Report - Cheshire County Council Offices (Northwich, Mar, 2019)

A typical sixties office block in the middle of Northwich. It used to be County Council offices until 2010/11 and has been empty since. The building is now something of an eyesore and is due to be demolished.

I stopped off here to eat my lunchtime sandwiches on the way to the Anderton Boat Lift. While not everybody’s cup of tea, it does have quite a nice central light well.

Great report, driven past this on the odd occasion but haven’t noticed it as I was too busy focusing on the mini ring road. I don’t usually ask but what was access like? I would scout the place out myself but it’s about a 40 minute drive from me and I don’t want a wasted trip, thanks in advance

Actually I kinda like it - it'll soon be gone anyway to be replaced by 70 old people's homes with a 'black and white timber-framed building look'. Hmm

All due respect 40 minutes is a long way when you work 40 hour weeks, have pets and a house to run and petrol isn’t cheap. I just asked in advance because things local I will scout out myself but this was a bit far. Anyway @urbanchemist was kind enough to message me and I’ve since put a report up on this place.

Well defended! 50 hour weeks, diesel and 30000 miles a year are a pain too.. Look forward to seeing your report.
