Report - chesterfield railway tunnel 26.8.19

out and about so decided to get this one ticked of my list

hoping over the wall and in to the tunnel entrance it wasnt to wet however its that rusty coloured mud that stains everything

very stony underfoot quite a large tunnel inside

the end portal is now blocked of as the chesterfield bypass goes through it they have concreted the end but have made it in to a vent shaft

looking back to the entrance a nice little wander and not to difficult thanks for watching

Nice report & Photos JezzyBoo, Can you access both ends? Just curious if that gate above the steps can be opened or not? Thanks

i did climb to the top of the ladder at the other end but it was locked so your only access is over the wall in the town centre get there early enough and you will be fine
