Cligga head is a large scale tin mine, which looks to have been worked well into the 20th C. It is reached by a very hairy cliff path to the beach. This mine has many tunnels, where as most of the smaller scale mines are just a single tunnel. Much man made machinery and mine construction was still visable and in very good condition.
The minerals visable in the mine walls were also amazing, with calcite, copper and countless varieties of stone all mixed in twisted veins and seams.
