Demise of a Legend – Club M , Tall Trees, Yarm
Visited August 2011
Soon to be departed to make way for new homes and a hotel complex the last days of Club M Approach. Once a 7000 capacity dance club filled every weekend with north east revellers and renowned for its Retro Nights with DJ Paul Taylor , the club has lost none of its charm even in the dark and unloved state its in , though I don’t remember it looking like this as many wont , we were too gone to see it …. Club M hasn’t opened its doors for some years now, not exactly sure when but I guess it was a retro night two or three years back ?
A lot of the photography was under very poor lighting conditions with the aid of torch and flash and some super long exposures … Havent had time for much urbex recently so this was a welcome break
First off some interior urbexness..
The lions are inside and outside the complex of tall trees and the club , parts of the hotel were built from the remains or an abbey or so I am led to believe
Ooh these were the days … acieeeeeeeddd .. lol
A chill out area …
not sure on the story of whose hands these are ?
The VIP area where some of us ended up .. and some didn’t …
The bar hasn’t see much use recently but still looks ready for action ..
some strange wall décor
Retro Urbex – Luvin it …..
