Dalton Tower was completed in 1974 to a height of 21 storeys, and 61 metres. It stands tall(ish) with it's little sister Lawrence Tower (59 metres) at the side of the Aston University campus and both are due to be blown (dafock) up next year following the completion of the new Aston Student halls down the way.
Not much to see on the way up, it's not yet been stripped so the kitchens are still there with appliances and fridge magnets etc. And the views aren't great by any means, but after a 6 hour return trip to Kent it was nice to stretch the legs, despite having eaten a Big Johns about 4 seconds before embarking. :crazy
