This is a pretty hefty, and very comprehensive book - it covers everything from early gunpowder manufacture up until the post-War era, with loads of B&W photographs, diagrams and maps. It's mostly about England, but also has quite a bit of info on Scottish manufacturing.

Wayne D Cocroft is indeed a legend, the English Heritage Cold War buildings book he was part of is fantastic and the War Art book is too. This should be good
