David Morrell : Creepers
From Publishers Weekly
"The Paragon Hotel, built in the heyday of Asbury Park, NJ, is now rundown and abandoned, like much of the city itself. But it's no ordinary relic-the hotel's former owner was a rich eccentric, making it an ideal location for urban explorers ("creepers") to investigate. One group of creepers finds more danger than they bargain for."
ANYWHO -
Got it 24 hours ago and pulled an 'all-nighter' allowed by my frightful lack of a social life.
The book really floated my boat up until Chapter 30 (just before 1:00 AM in the time line). At this point, things started to get too Hollywood and unbelievable for me.
Anywho - in summary a good read . . . up to a point.

There is a few previews (pages from the book) available on line.
