When Mookster's report of this popped up last week I thought hang on, I know exactly where this is, I'll go and have a gander. The front onto the site is all hoarded up by Hovi Luxury homes ready for demoltion.
The Davro Iron and Steel Company was formed in in Lye in 1949. The company grew quickly and in 1954 it relocated to a purpose built site in Bridgnorth.
This year, the company had once more outgrown its premises and is relocating to a new site in Halesowen. This 80,000 square foot, purpose steel processing centre, will allow the company to grow sales in its core business, construction and automotive.
At the same time, significant investment has been made in management systems, cut-to-length facilities and in response to customer’s requirements, a brand new slitting line has been installed to improve output and efficiencies.
Davro’s team have extensive knowledge and experience in the steel processing industry. The ongoing focus of the business is to meet customer requirements in terms of service, quality and reliability, establishing itself as one of the largest independent suppliers in the market.

I love these porcelain sink throughs. Very efficent , allowing you to piss and wash your hands without moving.
There were a couple of old works vans around back. Don't know what make this purple one is. You can just about see the works label on the door. There was also an old blue transit van but they were so overgrown with bramble I couldn't get nowhere near.
There were a seperate office building near the entrance and two house dwellings. One served an old petrol station.
And that's yer lot.
