The Liverpool Overhead Railway Southern Extension tunnel stretches for half a mile from Herculaneum Dock to Dingle railway station, on the Liverpool Overhead Railway. It is now disused, the former station now being a garage.
The tunnel may be unique in that is leads to an underground station on what was an overhead railway. It was not that the line was inclined downward into the ground but it intersected a hill
..Visited with urban soldier whos a logo lad so made things a tad easier.Spent about 2 hours down here but would have liked to be down alot longer loads more to see and photograph will probably be revisiting later on this year so heres the pics.....oldskool.
