History:
Now known as the Meon Valley Trail, this railway stretched for 10 miles and started from West Meon to Wickham.
The line opened in 1903 and closed in 1955.
Trip:
I firstly came across this disused railway line when I was on a 2 day walk in the South Downs (Started from Winchester and finished in South Harington). It was a beautiful trail with many old bridges which caught my eye - they were fascinating. The trail consists of Embankments and Cuttings.
On a different day, I went on a bike ride from West Meon to Wickham - two beautiful villages which took around an hour or two. It was a joyful experience; anyways enough talking and here are the photos.
