So it's been a while since my last explore and I started to get restless. I wasn't particularly excited about this one, but I felt I should do it anyway as a sort of urbex pilgrimage, and to give underground a go despite it not being that appealing. The entry point was illusive but after around 45 minutes of searching I finally found what I was after. This was also my first underground explore. It was dark, smelly, and got me thinking about what would happen if my torch failed, especially lone wolf. Not a bad explore but it didn't really leave me wanting more. :P
Bit of copypasta history for those who haven't seen it.
Dodge hill was named after the family Dodge, the same ones who moved to America and made Dodge auto mobiles and also the namesake for Dodge city.
The shelter that is here is carved out of the red sandstone and is one of three in the Stockport area. These tunnels took upto two years to carve out starting in 1938/1939.
Old entrance from the street.
Beds. And more beds.
Old chem toilet.
Toilet stalls.
I love this one. Turned out spot on.
Hobo level: pro
Steps behind the bricked up street-level entrance.
Could this be the same Rockstar can as on the other reports?
Some distasteful scrawlings, mixed with some tags and messages from other explorers.
Well, thanks, I guess.
Nope, I don't think so either
I felt compelled to leave my mark too :laugh
Well let me know what you think, even if it has been done 5 million times :P
