First post on here with some old photos from 2012. I have tried to revisit recently as i wasn't happy with the photos but its rather well sealed up at the moment.
Dodge Hill is 1 of 3 deep level air raid shelters located in Stockport. Dodge Hill is the smallest of the 3 and capable of holding around 2,000 people. The shelter is carved from sandstone with parts reinforced with concrete and steps leading to the street above. There were original bunk beds still present at the time of the visit with the remains of electrical cable trunking and lights, the toilet blocks were rather well intact with chemical toilets.
Only a few of the old photos but hopefully a revisit in the future will produce better ones.
