Double Dip, Wigan
August 2014 - Explored with ViralEye and Kenni
I spotted this one a while back while in the area and thought it was about time we took a look at it. A quick look at one of the possible infalls revealed it to be just a bridge (Google maps lied!), and another was grated so off we went to the outfall. The whole drain is comprised of two side by side 5' RCP bores with a couple of brick connecting chambers each with a set of steps on each side. Its only quite short at around a quarter of a mile and these chambers the only real features.
I did think of calling it 'Wigan falls', but its just not impressive enough!
