Hello!

So me and Cameron enjoy exploring abandoned shit, explored a lot around the uk and drove to Berlin and explored some ww2 nazi training camps and a ww2 chemical factory which was also cool.

In May we decided to go all out and drive from Scotland (Lockerbie) to Chernobyl..calling in at Auschwitz for the day on the way by... 4400 mile round trip in 6 days. It was unreal, I have a lot a pictures, here’s a few for proof any questions ask away!

Also we are looking for some cool shit round the uk, struggling to find anywhere new to go, we live on Scottish Borders but don’t mind traveling and driving but has to be worth it, somewhere high or underground or an abandoned factory or something, somebody give me some ideas, there’s not much we wouldn’t do

Thanks! Eddie

Road trips are cool, and Chernobyl has is a great destination to drive to! I'd like to see a few more pics in your report from the trip, some of the places you visited rather than just your car parked at them.

The pics were more proof we had been :) the security guards thought we were the only ones to drive to Chernobyl from the uk ‍♂️

Here are loads more pictures! :)

Did you go in without a guide and is that legally allowed? I've been wanting to go to chernobyl for a long time but haven't had the chance yet. What preparations did you make concerning gear etc? love your pictures by the way!

So you can sneak in if your careful but there are a few guards here and there so we just got a private tour for 2 people, it’s 200 each for a full day 8-5,

we picked our tour guide up in Kiev drove to Chernobyl, because they showed us round the reactors and all the cool spots we had to get a tour, but we basically drove round the city in my pick up stopping getting out and stuff, preparation wise...we could not get insurance in Ukraine from anywhere, it’s classed as a third world country, we just went without it.

Took a tent, booked a few hotels, plenty fuel money, stopped in a shooting range in krakow shooting ak47s and M4 carbines and revolvers that was fun! Al attach some pics!

averaging over 700 mile a day it is a LONG way... also it took us 7 hours to get into Ukraine through border control, Queuing up for hours, nobody spoke English at all.. and it Took us 13 hours to get into Poland , Queuing all night it was literally a joke! But was honestly the best experience ever! It even made the local paper we also called back to Berlin on way home in the biggest indoor water park in Europe! A LOT packed into 6 days il tell you that!

Certainly a more interesting way to do it than the tourbus. There was a foreign car there when we visited and i did wonder if they would let a British car in. I guess if you have the paperwork its all good.

That's brilliant! Kudos for putting in the effort and time to actually drive there! A trip to remember.

Eddiebooth96 this is mad impressive. I didnt even think to drive there.. have to consider the options.. if you are in scotland (in central belt) then it would be cool to meet up with others and check some places out. Been to botanical gardens old train station a few times, theres various places around that are quite cool to visit.

Would you say the atmosphere from covid was affecting your trip? how much total was it?

Cheers!
