Student Castle have just been given the go ahead to demolish a large section of Claypath to accommodate a new 50m student accommodation block, the area will include the former Durham Palladium site, and they hope to have the new students in by 2018, so if this is true the old girl doesn't have long left, and I would make a beeline to see it sharpish if you want to.

Haha, it was the balcony that nearly claimed me. I think a section fell off if I remember correctly. Been a while since I was last in there; probably 2014 too.

Every time i've been near its been sealed up tight. Never thought of going through the roof mind! I'm back up that way at the weekend, so Ill have a look and see what's what. If all else fails and I get sick of boozing in walkergate Ill sneak off to Elvet baths!

Yeah much easier and less stress free took me about a week to realise how much drama goes on on here so rarely visit the site much unless am sent links to certain topics
