A short explore yet a good 20 minute video made from it. A semi large factory and office complex with its owners vacating in 2016.
A little history
The company, founded in 1956 by Edward Arthur Burne (no clue who he is) in chesham it lasted until 2014 with two sites. Crosskeys and a site in chesham. The company made aircraft seating for major companies like boeing and big airlines like british airways, Qantas, Iceland air and my travel airways(?). The company had dissolved in 2014 however assets were listed in 2016 for auction and final forms of disolution were submitted in 2020. The crosskeys factory from what i could find was occupied for a number of years (no clue how many) up until closure in 2014 being maintained fully until 2019 where vandals had got into and set most of it alight. Since then people have been coming and going with trucks dumping dirt on all parts of the site to deter vistors.
The visit
We showed up coming from a nearby football game in the park, the site has been on our radar for many months now and entry to it was looking scarce until turning a corner and from there extremely striaght forward and rather easy. The entry forged by many vandals and less urban explorers we found it plain and easy to get in. Upon entry greeted by great big corridors and massive rooms. The stairwell leading to offices and more semi long corridors to the factory section of the site. From here i'll let the shoddy samsung phone pictures document the main part.
The front, In massive desrepair and showing no signs of hope for entry to the site
Upon entry greated by a rather large room, Assuming offices.
As we continued we were greated by some proper 1980s architecture (older than all of us on the site)
Proceeding past the main enterance we are greeted by what we assumed was an office.
Looks like a radioactive substance (we hope its just foam)
we found this went back to what we thought was the office.
Returning to the main enterance we get greeted by these stairs like something out of a school drama on tv or college
As we proceeded we didnt regret it.
Small storage area
Huge administration office above the factory sections
Had to be a big child at heart and take this picture 😂
If someone could tell me what the bath like thing is itd be greatly appreciated.
The lift! First ever site ive been to with a lift! (Ps i was rather excited about it)
Just more plain offices
These stairs screamed to me old school or college never knew why
I think its just the style and age of them personally theyre cool.
More massive office space above
All research was hard to find and spent a good solid two and a half hours to find anything on it after forgetting the company name several times. This had to be my greatest explore so far although it lacks the character of not being destroyed to pieces.
Thanks for reading! 😁
