1800's reservoir hidden away in a rather overgrown wood. Built in 1866 it was used all the way up until 2013 when silver spring water company who sourced their water from this reservoir went bust. There is more beyond a closed and alarmed gate which is an obstacle, given the police presence in the area, we were not willing to attempt to conquer.
You need to add the image links mate & not the tumbnails, normally 6 pics is a little sparse for a report normally, especially if some are very dark and not really worth posting.
Also Name. location, month & year of visit, along with some History of the place
You've actually posted photos from two different locations here.
The first is known as 'Crete Road Resevoir' which was for silver Spring, but has ben disused for a LOT longer than 2013. The second is an unrelated pipe and tunnel that's roughly in the same area that carries a water main for East Kent Water or Southern water (can't remember which) - this as far as I'm aware is still used.
Well done for finding Crete road, it can be a pain to locate in the woods sometimes. If you search on here you will find many reports stretching back a long time.
