This one was a random trip to the other side of the Czech Republic with my cousin. I saw an abandoned coke plant, which looked sick on the maps, and we didn't have anything better to do. Well, it turned out, that the coke plant had a power plant next to it, so after exploring the coke plant, we yeeted ourselves over the fence and spent some time trying to find the entrance in the abundant overgrowth. We did eventually succeed and found our way in. This used to be a power plant, which ran on desulfurized coke gas from the coke plant next to it. It has 3 gas-fired boilers, which have been installed between 1930 and 1950, with each one having around 20t/h steam output. There is a turbine hall, or what I would imagine once had turbines. I tried to do some research, but not much is available online. The coke plant stopped production in the late 2000s and with it the heating plant as well since it had nothing to run on. I'm assuming it used to have a turbine or two at some point in the past, what I know is that in the early 2000s a 700kW backpressure turbine (more like rotary reduction) was installed to reduce the pressure of the distributed steam. And they got electricity for their own use as well. This turbine was dismantled in the early 2010s and moved to another power plant, which is a shame. What's fun about this plant is the control room and the boiler house. The control room is a nice vintage one with green control panels. It once had marble control panels, but those have been already removed. The boiler house is an old one, with the oldest boiler there being installed around 1930. The light was a bitch though - an overall dark place with one large window and sun shining on it.
It was a nice explore - the dusty and damp boiler house had a high cool-factor and the control room was a nice bonus.

Overgrowth in the boiler house - there used to be eight boilers here, now only three remain
The first two boilers on the right are from the late 1940s / early 1950s. The boiler at the end is from the early 1930s.
