I've been lurking on here for a while hoping to post a report, but haven't managed to actually get one done until now. I've been an occasional explorer (but not photographer) since my childhood. I think what got me started was exploring the large photography studio at the top of my (step) grandmother's house as a young boy in the late 70's. The studio was her son's and she hadn't gone up there since he emigrated many years before, it was like a time capsule. I spent hours & hours up there examining all the kit, not to mention the many books with wonderful b&w photos of attractive naked women! Lover of old-fashioned things, particularly Land Rovers. I've read the instructions and will post my first report later (crane train).
