History on this place is from other reports on here ive seen not managed to find much else on the place,
the mine was worked for Fluorspar and calcite by a team of seven men below ground and ten men at the surface up until the early 1980's when it finally shut, There was originally 6 levels worked which would have been accessed by a now flooded steep incline.

There are some impressive stopes and nice calcified walls in this places and a lot of the levels are still accessible via ladders with some bits requiring SRT which i shall be returning to do as i didnt have it with me.

Impressive looking place, if a little dangerous - I'm surprised that open shaft has been left like that without even a fence around it!

There is a fence around it. Access is maintained by the local caving club and the owner's consent.

Hopefully all about the ladders and no snakes. Great place and cracking report.

First ladder has been removed, make sure you take a line and don't drive over 3 hours for nothing like we did 🧐
