Hi lads and lasses. Was told about this site by a lad at work last night. I'm wondering if anyone from north east can help.
My son is always watching tik tok about abandoned places but I haven't really got a clue where to start. I'm based in Newcastle and looking for a few places to take him during the holidays. I'm thinking of taking him to car shield mine in next few weeks as that looks canny. I've done the tunnel at ouseburn. Tried to get in the battery at Seaton sluice but it was all fenced off. I'm sure this site has it all on but haven't a clue where to start. Somewhere nice and easy to start would be great. Any help would be great. Thankyou

It's a tunnel in ouseburn just under the huge bridge .I didn't have wellies but apparently other side has a metal door with more rooms. If you look on chronicle site you'll see an article about a rave that was held there. It's pretty easy to get to

The 2nd last pic is the little bridge u have to go under if u go down the right hand side u can hop on the stones to get into it. Hope this makes sense.
