Hi Folks. Just got back into taking photos, as I've been film-making for the last 12 years.
Here's one I've not seen posted before - not sure if anyone knows about it. Its easy to get to and there's parking. A bit of info below
A large nineteenth and twentieth century sand quarry, probably supplying the pottery industry with fine sand. Not entirely sure when it finally closed, sometime between 2000-2010. The site has a number of buildings containing machinery, tools and material used in the quarry industry. There are a few out-houses and plant scattered all the way up to the top of the site. Some burnt out structures with gas bottles, remain. Amazing wildlife also. Very quiet area. There was an engineering firm using the first large building, but due to COVID it is now permanently closed.
Thanks
