So my new (well rather old!) lens arrived the other day, and was discussed on the chatbox (mainly because 'postie' turned up whilst I was chatting on here)
It's an Industar 50-2, made in the USSR
At the time I promised to post some pics on here.
This lens is tiny (see 2p piece for scale) I've put some pics below - both on, and off the camera (and compared to the cameras standard 'kit' lens)
Manual focus only, NO metering of any kind, manual aperture setting (F3.5 - 16)
And the results? - well a few examples below:
There is something very satisfying about knowing that a picture has turned out the way it has because you focused it by eye, chose an F setting, estimated the exposure etc.
Lovely, pleasantly soft, pictures that the photographer can truly own:
And all this for £10.50 (thank you Mr Ebay )
