Ok post. Stripped of most kit, however the telephone handset was quite a find I thought. I assume this is what the third Observer would have taken outside with him as he walked along the telephone poles in the post apocoliptic country side trying to find the break in the line before the winds changed and the fallout headed towards the post. Once the line was fixed he could check it with this device to see if there was another break in the line?. Looks homemade almost. There is a rubber grommet on the end sujesting this was taken from a telephone before the croc clips were added to the various wires afterwards.
