Visited with Bigbadash
I had visited the North London reservoir with Gaj and Elliot5200 some months back but hadn't posted yet because I wasn't happy with my pictures, so headed back there to do a better job! When we got there at about 11pm the area seemed to have a lot more people then usual hanging around ( If you have been there then you know what I mean) Friday must be a busy night for the piss heads! So not wanting to give these guys an indication of the access point we retreated to the local pub!
Back up plan was to see if we could find the Kidderpore reservoir which Elliot5200 had posted a lead about a month back. We headed off to Hampstead, I was just hoping it wasn't located on the Heath ( It wouldn't be good two guys on Hampstead Heath at 1.30 in the morning with cameras ) as luck would have it it was located in much nicer surroundings! We made are way in after having had a 3 in the morning Mcdonalds break and waited for the sun to come up!
Great looking place and not a bad back up plan
A very small bit of history
The Kidderpore Reservoir in Hampstead was built in 1867 by The West Middlesex Water Co! The Reservoir was last re roofed in 1963 and the new roof should by completed by January 2015! It holds about 12 million litres of water
SOME PICS
THANKS FOR LOOKING
