Situated in the heart of Dover is this gem of a tunnel system. Lagoon & Beaufoys caves, which are rough cut from chalk, linked together by Tower Hamlets ARP tunnel which is lined with concrete. Pretty immaculate inside, thanks to a somewhat unconventional access. There is a good write up on Kent history forum with maps & official documents,so if the history side is your bag,go look!
Looking down Lagoon cave, you can see the toilet still in situ.
Behind the board is now a restaurants cellar.
The cables you see along the ceiling are from a post war Rediffusion system.

Toilets in the Beaufoys section.
AT Blackmans basement door.
Concrete slats at what was Tower Hamlets Road entrance.
Thought I'd better get something up! I will try and get some pictures of my last Belgium trip up soon, all to help towards admin giving me freedom of speech
Thanks for looking!
