Report - Leri Mill, Wales, June 2016

I think I might of abused the wide aperture of my 35mm lens here and im guilty of neglecting to shoot the machinery with as much thought and time. But I love bokeh, so sorry, not sorry.

History
The woolen manufacturing along side the River Leri within Talybont village was founded by Thomas Morgans in 1809. Before then the site was used for corn milling and from about 1730 to smelt lead. During the 1960's and 70's the mills in this area were very prosperous and could draw a thousand visitors a day during the summer. By 1984 trade has diminished and so the Mill closed for good.

That's a lovely report. A business using and old but appropriate technology just stopped a long time ago.
