Report - Lindholme Control Tower - Oct 19

This tower is sitting on & property of HMP Lindholm so exploring is as dodgey as it gets.

RAF Lindolme started life as an expansion scheme aerodrome built on the wide expanse of Hatfield moors, some five miles east of Doncaster. The site, to the east of the A614 Thorne to Bawtry road, was a mile south of the small village of Hatfield Woodhouse, the name first selected for the new station. Work began in the spring of 1938 taking in approximately 250 acres (1.0 km2) of pasture for the airfield itself and a further 150 for the camp and support facilities.

All pretty empty now but still a cool place, gotta love a bit of deco!

Gutted the top floor of the tower was screwed shut but as the rest of the building there is not much in there anyway.
All we got up here was a face full of birds living in the higher floors lol.

Thanks all, unfortunately the main top control room is sealed but like the rest it’s pretty empty anyway.
1st pic was actually a rushed phone pic as we were scarpering after noting a prison guard making his way round the perimeter lol
