Found these from an expedition in Spring 2006. I'm told nothing had changed as of last year. Long Compton was opened in 1961 and closed as a Master Post in 1991. It was located at the Rollright Stones Ancient Monument, next to the Kings Stone.
I have a feeling the post survived for several years after closure.

The access shaft was pushed down the slope and lies by the hedge along with some posts from the compound. There's also a surviving telegraph pole by the road.
