I have only recently discovered UE, being based in Manchester and being a bit of a train geek I was anxious to get into Mayfield station before it became totally off limits with the Manchester International festival using the parcel depot under the station.
The history has been done loads of times, so I'll not bore you all with it again. We went a few weeks back, so things would have probably changed by now, but the parcel depot was all lit up and had security patrolling the area. We managed to sneak in and avoid secca, but avoided the parcel depot, as you can see by the lack of photos of the depot.
I only have a point and click, but I think the photos turned out ok. Big thanks to my mate who gave me the confidence to do this and give me a few pointers on my first 'splore.
