After visiting "Revolver" with Paul Powers we headed back to Stockport.
Paul was pushed for time so i decided to visit a couple of childhood haunts more for nostalgia than anything, Firstly Brinksway Caves, effectionately known as "Maggies Caves" to the locals, this was a popular explore for the local kids back in the day, getting on for 30 years now since i last saw these
Needless to say they haven't changed.
These caves are built into the Sandstone alongside the Mersey Gorge, Stockport and date back to the 1670's. Years later the Air-Raid shelters
were based on this 'cutting into' the Red Sandstone to provide shelter during WW2.
Then a quick stop off to have a look under Stockport Merseyway Pricinct.
