Morcott tunnel is 448 yds long built in 1850 and closed in 1966 it was on the lnwr rugby to luffenham line ,it was built as a double track but was singled in 1907 ,morcott station wasn't built for 48 years after the line opened .the tunnel is in very good condition ,bit flooded at one end. visited with explorer dog Binky.
